Santa Knows

Dec 23rd, 2012 | By Kevin Harris | Category: Lead Article, Parenting

This holiday season I got the opportunity to don the red hat and beard and play Santa himself at our local rec center pool. Instead of the usual fuzzy warm suit, I got to wear swimming trunks and a Hawaiian shirt along with a padded belly and sit out on the play feature where the kids go to use the slide and water cannons.

Why Parents Lose Their Minds

Jan 24th, 2011 | By Kevin Harris | Category: Lead Article, Parenting

It was one of the best sandwiches I had ever made. Each piece, from the mouth-watering meat to the warm poppy seed bread, was perfect. It dripped flavor. It begged to be devoured. The time to enjoy had arrived. As I sat down, with my masterpiece placed before me, a horrid sulfuric smell burnt my [...]

The most popular toy this year is by far the Zhu Zhu pets – they look like hamsters with wheels and when their noses hit a wall they say something funny and then turn a different direction.  You can get hamster balls or cars they can push or blankets to snuggle them in. Anyway, I [...]

Sep 18th, 2009 | By Kevin Harris | Category: Entertainment, Lead Article

Everyone has favorite books that they remember from when they were little. I have lots of favorites. One of my favorite Halloween books was the Berenstain Bears’ The Spooky Old Tree. If I remember correctly the three kid bears climb inside the tree and find that it has all sorts of spooky rooms and hallways [...]

Can Food Storage Taste that Good?

Sep 10th, 2009 | By Sharee Anne | Category: Health & Fitness, Lead Article

I recently came across an advertisement online that caught my eye since I help individuals in my church with their food storage. I contacted the company and they asked if I’d be interested in hosting a free tasting party at my home. I could have friends, family, and neighbors over to try out the food [...]
